LES ERRANCES
LOIRE | FRANCE
Les Errances, or “Wanderings”, is the small winery of Warren and Maïté Perrocheau in Rablay-sur-Layon. The couple met in Rennes in 2009, and after backpacking around the world from Mexico to Sweden, they ended up in Paris when they returned home.
After a few years of detour in a corporate environment, they decide to move to the Loire Valley to create a slower and more natural lifestyle.
After completing their viticultural studies and gaining experience with some of the region's big names, they founded Les Errances in 2018.
They currently farm 6 hectares with mixed varieties, while also buying small amounts of grapes from organic producers such as Alain Bore and David Landron. Their farming is characterized by attention to small details and a permaculture approach. They strive to help the diversity of plants and trees both in the vineyards and in the areas surrounding them. Adherents of minimal intervention in the cellar, their wines are created by long fermentation, in the presence of natural wild yeasts and by combining fermentation vessels. Minimal sulfur is only used in the wines if the given vintage requires it.

10 days of whole-bunch maceration followed by gentle pressing. The wine is aged for 1 year in concrete eggs, preserving clarity while allowing a slow, textured evolution. Bottled without fining, filtration or added sulphur.
A truly remarkable expression of Chenin Blanc, this is the pinnacle cuvée from a tiny parcel within Les Aussigoins — a wine of rare depth, restraint and precision. Castille 2022 captures the essence of Anjou at its most refined: quiet intensity, sculpted minerality and an almost architectural sense of balance. The nose unfolds slowly, revealing layers of citrus oil, ripe orchard fruit, white peach and delicate floral notes, all framed by a subtle chalky, almost smoky minerality. With air, a gentle creamy evolution emerges, adding richness without ever softening its vertical tension.
The palate is composed and deeply textural, with a seamless flow of fruit, acidity and mineral drive. There is a sense of weightlessness combined with power — a wine that expands rather than pushes, building in complexity towards a long, saline and resonant finish. The oak is present only as structure, never flavour, allowing purity and terroir to speak with clarity and confidence.
A Chenin of serious intent and finesse — both cerebral and sensual, with the capacity to age gracefully for many years.
