Our Roots
Roland Szimeiszter, the man behind Roland Wines, was born and raised in Hungary. Naturally, growing up in a country known for wines of great quality he quickly found his passion. After moving to UK, as he was working his way up the London hospitality scene, he saw that wines from Central and Eastern Europe lacked representation - thus Roland Wines was born. He travels a lot to discover new winemakers, who as a rule of thumb are incredibly humble and hardworking people. In his words “Seeing hard work and diligence in a bottle and knowing that it was all done naturally is always an amazing experience”.
Their Juice
We work with independent growers who bring their own ideas to the vineyard and cellar while respecting local traditions. Our selection celebrates distinctive grapes, individual vineyards and wines made with care. From familiar favourites to lesser-known bottles, each wine offers a different expression of its origin. Explore the growers’ stories, then find a bottle to enjoy at home.
