Szóló - Tűz ~ Fire 2023

£35.00

An exquisite expression of Hárslevelű, where aromatic delicacy meets remarkable depth and precision. The nose opens with an enchanting bouquet of delicate white flowers, subtle orchard fruit and a whisper of flinty reduction, gradually revealing a more profound, stony mineral character. The palate is graceful yet beautifully structured, with a silky texture and gentle breadth held together by vibrant acidity and an almost effortless sense of balance. As the wine unfolds, its floral elegance gives way to a striking mineral tension, carrying through to a long, pure and persistent finish. Remarkably resilient, retaining its freshness, clarity and precision even after several days open. A wine of quiet intensity and understated sophistication, where elegance speaks louder than power.

Vinification

The Hárslevelű grapes are harvested and gently pressed directly, preserving the variety's delicate floral aromatics and natural freshness. In keeping with Tímea's minimal-intervention philosophy, the wine is made with a restrained approach in the cellar, allowing the character of the fruit and its volcanic origins to take centre stage. Bottled without filtration or additives, it retains its natural texture, vibrant acidity and distinctive mineral precision. The result is a beautifully transparent expression of Hárslevelű, where purity and elegance are achieved through patience and a deep respect for the vineyard.

Interesting Facts

Tűz translates as "Fire" in Hungarian, one of the four classical elements of nature and a powerful symbol of energy, transformation and creation. Fire is also deeply connected to the origins of Tokaj, where ancient volcanic activity shaped the landscape and left behind the mineral-rich soils that define the region's wines today.

In Tímea's interpretation, fire is not expressed through weight or intensity, but through the wine's inner energy—its vibrant acidity, mineral tension and remarkable persistence. Beneath its delicate floral character lies a quiet, enduring force, much like the volcanic landscape from which it originates.
